  Position Summary
  
 This position will plan, direct, or coordinate the Mission Logistics organizational unit. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, planning the use of materials and human resources, ensuring the department is focusing on strategic operations that enhance the department, division and organization overall.
 
  Duties Will Also Include But Are Not Limited To
  
- 
   Develop long-term strategies to design efficient transportation routes and scheduling that align with organizational goals
  
- 
   Supervise the maintenance, acquisition, and lifecycle management of the truck and trailer fleet to ensure reliability and optimal performance
  
- 
   Oversee training and retention of drivers, ensuring adherence to performance standards and organizational values
  
- 
   Ensure that all transportation operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry’s best practices
  
- 
   Maintain a current and up-to-date understanding of and comply with all agency policies and procedures
   
 
 
Qualifications
- 
   Bachelors AND 5+ years of required experience OR Associates degree AND 7+ years of required experience OR High School diploma and 10+ years of required experience
   
 
 
Required Experience
- 
   Ability to lead, motivate and manage a diverse team, with the ability to manage tight deadlines; Knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal codes/regulations as well as DOL guidelines; Proficiency with Microsoft office applications as well as using internet tools and resources; two years of supervisory experience.
   
 
 
External Hiring Range
 : $64,000-$67,000
