Sr. Manager of Operations Position Overview
  • Provide visible leadership for all areas of the operation including delivering products within required metrics (on time, on budget, within quality standards), supporting new product introduction, meeting customer requirements, fulfilling required turnaround times, meeting inventory targets, and enacting productivity projects that continually improve the production capabilities and cost structure of the business
  • Direct the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness
  • Drive ownership throughout the organization, including the development and adherence to daily, weekly and monthly plans which support customer expectations and internal business objectives.
  • Administer an operating rhythm (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) consistent with corporate policy that drives program success thru Key Performance Indicators (KPI), leading and lagging performance metrics based solidly in data-driven techniques, continuous improvement and constraint management policies, procedures and techniques.
  • Lead annual planning and budgeting process for Operations, collaborating across the organization to identify and implement initiatives which reduce operating costs and increase EBITDA
  • Provide the leadership and necessary direction for the continuous improvement of the site and overall performance to achieve or exceed objectives and goals
  • Provide mentorship and foster leadership development of the team; coach, develop, and promote direct reports into progressively responsible/advanced roles and potential successors

Experience and Education Requisites

  • Bachelor's degree and at least six (6) years of related experience, or an Associate’s Degree and at least eight (8) years of related experience, or a High School Diploma with fourteen (14) years of related experience. Related experience in a manufacturing leadership role preferred.
  • Must have experience maintaining and keeping a safe work environment, cost schedule and quality performance.
  • Able to work within a fast paced, changing, high energy environment
  • Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience with aircraft assembly, composite part manufacturing, and bonding is a plus.
