Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Operations, IT & Projects is a multifaceted role that leads the IT and Operations staff and manages project scoping, tracking, and delivery of a wide variety of initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience across a wide discipline of business and IT solutions and understand what it takes to move complex organizational solutions to the next level. This person will need to have extensive project management experience and solid leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize strategic plans and projects for various business and technical operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify technical needs that support business initiatives.
  • Deliver projects on time with results that are within scope and budget.
  • Proactively communicate the status, deadlines, required actions, and other important milestones for all departmental projects.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of IT and operations professionals. Ensure they have the resources and support needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide operational leadership throughout the organization by emphasizing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts and agreements to secure the best terms for the company.
  • Develop and manage the department’s budget, monitor and control expenditures, identify opportunities for cost savings while not impacting operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant progressive experience in project management or operations
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in leading IT or operations teams
  • Project Management certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, like Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of technical processes, policies, and procedures and ability to look at projects through an enterprise level lens
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles in order to ensure output and positive results
  • Capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
