Key Responsibilities (Trim Engineering Manager)

  • Lead soft trim development across seating programs
  • Drive pattern development using tools like Optitex / Lectra
  • Own DFMEA and risk mitigation prior to tooling release
  • Support seat build events and launch readiness
  • Resolve craftsmanship, fit, and appearance issues
  • Work cross-functionally with foam, materials, manufacturing, and suppliers

Key Responsibilities (Materials Engineer)

  • Lead materials engineering support across trim and seating
  • Drive root cause analysis and 8D / A3 problem solving
  • Support supplier quality and plant-level issue resolution
  • Work with cut & sew and seat build plants
  • Support warranty, field issues, and continuous improvement
  • Influence cost, quality, and manufacturability

Required Experience

  • 10–15+ years in automotive seating or interiors
  • Strong trim / pattern development experience
  • Experience with Optitex, Lectra or similar tools
  • Background in seat build, launch, and production environments
  • Experience working with suppliers and plant teams
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Hands-on experience with trim and pattern development
