The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing leads sourcing strategy, contract negotiations, and vendor management for Unified Women’s Healthcare’s clinical and non-clinical spend categories. Reporting to the Director, Procurement, this role focuses on strategic sourcing execution, including RFP design, supplier selection, and contract negotiations, to achieve best value and mitigate risk across the enterprise. This position partners closely with Finance and business leaders to ensure that negotiated savings, price improvements, and rebate structures are accurately reflected in functional budgets and financial planning. The incumbent will collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Clinical teams to ensure sourcing initiatives align with business goals, compliance standards, and operational needs.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

Lead sourcing strategies across clinical and non-clinical categories (equipment, technology, supplies, consulting, etc.).

Own and manage the end-to-end RFP and bid process from requirements gathering and supplier engagement to selection and award.
Develop multi-year sourcing plans that align with company objectives, cost containment goals, and operational excellence.
Contracting & Negotiations

Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, and service terms to optimize total cost of ownership.

Collaborate with Legal, and business leaders to ensure contracts reflect appropriate risk allocation and business protections.
Leverage technology to manage the contract repository, track renewals, and drive continuous improvement in contract lifecycle management processes.
Data, Analytics & Process Improvement

Partner with Finance and Operations to analyze spend data, identify sourcing opportunities, and track realized savings.

Ensure negotiated pricing and savings are accurately incorporated into functional and departmental budgets, working in alignment with Finance to reflect sourcing outcomes in financial forecasts.

Utilize systems (e.g., NetSuite, Hybrent, Salesforce) for spend visibility, contract compliance, and KPI reporting.
Champion automation, process efficiency, and sourcing best practices across the enterprise.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management

Build and sustain relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.

Implement supplier scorecards and quarterly business reviews to track performance, service levels, and compliance for key and critical suppliers.
Identify and address performance issues, renegotiating or transitioning suppliers as needed.
Additional Job Functions:

Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.

Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives with stakeholders in Clinical, Operations, IT, and Finance.
Qualifications
Education
:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
-
8 - 10 years of relevant experience, with 5+ years in leadership or strategic sourcing within Procurement, demonstrating increasing responsibility and complexity.

Strong negotiation skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication (verbal and written) skills.

Proven success in complex contract negotiations, RFP management, and supplier governance.

Demonstrated ability to drive measurable cost savings and operational efficiency.

Healthcare, life sciences, or multi-site service organization experience strongly preferred.
Metrics of Success:

Annual cost savings and cost avoidance realized as a percentage of total managed spend.

Percentage of spend under contract coverage.

Budget realization accuracy to the extent to which negotiated savings are reflected in functional budgets.

On-time completion rate for sourcing events (RFPs, renewals, negotiations).

Supplier performance improvements (pricing, delivery, quality, service).
