Senior Manager/Manager – Strategic Partnerships & M&A

The Role
ROLE OBJECTIVE: Senior Manager / Manager – Strategic Partnerships & M&A leads the origination, evaluation and execution of ecosystem partnerships (hyperscalers, OEMs, telcos, ISVs) and inorganic growth opportunities (investments, JVs, acquisitions, carveouts) that accelerate the company's strategy across data centre, cloud, cybersecurity and system integration services. The role owns the end—to—end deal cycle—market scanning, business case and valuation, due diligence orchestration, negotiation and closing—and sets up post—deal integration and partnership governance to realize synergies, protect value and ensure regulatory compliance in Oman. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Strategy & Deal Origination • Translate corporate strategy into a pipeline of partnership/M&A thesis and target lists; maintain market maps for priority domains (cloud, managed services, cybersecurity, platforms, niche SIs). • Conduct opportunity analysis and screening of acquisition or investment targets aligned with the company’s strategic priorities • Build investment cases: problem statement, strategic fit, synergy logic, options analysis (build/partner/buy), risks and mitigations. • Run initial outreach, screening and NDAs; manage confidentiality and information flows. 2. Partnerships (alliances, JVs) • Identify, evaluate, and develop partnerships with technology vendors, hyperscalers, service providers, and ecosystem enablers • Structure and negotiate partnership models (resell/CSP, MSP, OEM, co—sell, white—label, JV, distribution, BOT/revenue—share) with clear roles, quotas and support obligations. • Define partner tiering, enablement and joint GTM plans with Sales/Marketing; establish QBRs, scorecards and escalation paths. • Ensure compliance with data—protection, security, sanctions and competition requirements in partner agreements. • Monitor strategic partner performance and alignment with business goals 3. Commercial finance & deal modelling • Build financial models for partnerships and M&A (P&L, CF, BS impact; NPV/IRR; scenario/sensitivity; synergy and integration costs). • Set pricing/discount corridors and approval matrices for partnership constructs in coordination with Finance. 4. M&A execution • Lead end—to—end M&A processes: teasers/IM review, valuations, indicative offers (EOI/NBO), data—room Q&A, management meetings. • Coordinate due diligence (commercial, financial, tax, legal, HR, tech/cyber, operations); consolidate findings and value—bridge, and define SPA/business—warranty protections. • Support the development of deal structures, term sheets, and definitive agreements in coordination with legal and financial advisors • Drive negotiations (SPA, SHA/JVAs, TSAs), board/IC materials, and closing deliverables. 5. Post—deal integration & value realisation • Develop Day—0/Day—1 and 100—day plans, integration workstreams, TSA governance and synergy tracking (revenue, cost, capex/working capital). • Establish post—deal KPIs and risk logs; run integration reviews and corrective actions. 6. Governance, risk & compliance • Maintain stage—gate governance, IC memos and deal documentation; ensure Delegations of Authority (DOA) compliance. • Manage regulatory touchpoints (competition/anti-trust; PDPL data obligations in transactions; tax/VAT structuring with Finance; sector approvals as applicable). 7. Stakeholder management & communications • Align internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Technology, Operations, Sales) and external advisors; manage board/EXCO expectations with clear narratives. • Prepare board-level presentations, strategic recommendations, and investment memos 8. Market intelligence & insights • Track competitor moves, funding rounds, M&A activity, and partnership models, technology trends and valuation benchmarks in the GCC; maintain a knowledge base of precedent deals and partnership structures.

Requirements
Qualification: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering • Postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA or equivalent) is strongly preferred Certification: • CFA/ACA/ACCA (preferred) • Relevant certifications in corporate finance, valuation, or M&A (e.g., FMVA, CIMA) are a plus Experience: • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in M&A, strategic partnerships, corporate development, or investment advisory — ideally within ICT, technology, or telecom sectors
