ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead public communications strategy and initiatives for WG:
- Ensure branding and messaging consistency across all platforms
- Manage communications calendar, announcements, and press releases
Manage marketing efforts for Waterloo Greenway and Moody Amphitheater:
- Use innovative marketing techniques to elevate WG brand public awareness
- Create and manage marketing campaigns related to WG special events, rentals, and project/ phasing milestones
- Lead marketing plans for amphitheater venue events in collaboration with Live
Nation and WG staff
- Act as marketing point of contact for co-presented and third-party events, including coordinating creation/delivery of assets and promotional materials
- Compile regular reporting to communicate marketing campaign performance
Marketing & Communications Manager
Job Description
Manage announcements, public relations, and media inquiries:
- Manage communications process, approvals, and timelines for press releases and media alerts
- Develop working relationships with promotional partners and local media
- Manage media inquiries and interview scheduling with WG staff members
- Coordinate communications needs for City of Austin stakeholders including the PARD and WPD departments and Public Information Officers
- Other tasks as assigned

- Some evening and weekend hours
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Journalism, Marketing, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience leading communications & marketing plans
- Knowledge of HTML/web editor email experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of social media management
- Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other programs
- Knowledge of Public Relations preferred
- Self-motivator and collaborator
- Strong organization skills. Completes projects quickly with a strong eye for details
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects
- Experience in a non-profit setting a plus

- Reports to: Director of Creative and Communications
- Supports: All departments
- Peer collaboration/communicates with (internal, external): Conservancy Staff, City of Austin staff, consultants, designers, photographers, writers, printers, media partners etc.
