Senior Mathematics Teacher (Classes 4–8)

Curriculum: CBSE & IB

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mathematics Teacher for Classes 4 to 8, well-versed in CBSE and IB curricula. The ideal candidate should have strong subject mastery, the ability to explain concepts clearly, and experience in handling diverse learning styles while fostering analytical and logical thinking among students.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Academic Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with CBSE and IB standards.
• Develop conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning.
• Implement inquiry-based and activity-based learning (especially for IB).
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and projects.
• Use teaching aids, technology, and real-life applications to make learning effective.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Track student progress and maintain accurate academic records.

Curriculum & Assessment

• Design assessments in line with CBSE examination patterns and IB assessment criteria.
• Support students in internal assessments, projects, and reflective learning.
• Differentiate instruction to cater to mixed-ability classrooms.
• Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support where required.

Student Development

• Encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning, and independent learning.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Mentor students academically and guide them for competitive readiness (where applicable).
• Promote mathematical confidence and curiosity.

Professional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with subject coordinators and fellow teachers.
• Participate in curriculum planning, academic reviews, and school events.
• Attend staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and parent-teacher meetings.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to school policies and child safety norms.
• Contribute to academic innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics / Education (B.Sc / B.Ed or equivalent) – Mandatory
• Master’s Degree (M.Sc / M.Ed) – Preferred
• IB Training / Certification – Strongly preferred
• CTET or equivalent certification – Preferred (for CBSE)

Experience:

• Minimum 7+ years of teaching experience in Mathematics.
• Proven experience teaching Classes 4–8.
• Hands-on experience with CBSE and/or IB curriculum.
• Experience in handling assessments, lesson planning, and student mentoring.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong subject knowledge and conceptual clarity.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts.
• Proficient in using smart boards, digital tools, and teaching software.
• Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, adaptability, and a student-centric approach.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
