Senior Mechanic

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanic to lead our workshop and maintenance operations. This role involves repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting heavy machinery, vehicles, and plant equipment while mentoring junior mechanics.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on vehicles and machinery
• Lead maintenance and repair projects for plant and garage equipment
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance
• Supervise and mentor junior mechanics and workshop staff
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
• Order and manage spare parts inventory
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
• Suggest improvements to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a senior mechanic in industrial, construction, or fleet operations
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Leadership and team management skills
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong safety awareness
