Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Design)

Location: Davie, Florida

RCI Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design across residential, multifamily, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Required Experience (Must-Have)

• HVAC Design: 5+ years (Required)
• Project Management: 3+ years (Required)
• Language: English (Required) | Spanish (Preferred)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (PE preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code, NFPA, ASHRAE
• Experience with DX, VRF/VRV, hydronic, and smoke control systems
• Skilled in load calculations, equipment selection, and construction documents
• Strong coordination and client communication skills
• Plumbing/Fire Protection experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design and coordination
• Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection
• Prepare and review construction documents and specs
• Coordinate with architects, clients, and internal teams
• Support construction administration and site visits
• Ensure code compliance and energy-efficient design

Compensation & Benefits

• $85,000 – $120,000/year (DOE)
