Job Overview: The Senior Mechanical Engineer (Site-Based) will be responsible for the on-site coordination, execution, and supervision of mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems across luxury residential projects. This role requires providing efficient and professional services in project management, design, estimation, execution, supervision, coordination, and completion of projects. The Senior Mechanical Engineer (Site-Based) will be responsible for installing and handing over all mechanical systems, coordinating with various stakeholders, and liaising with authorities to ensure compliance and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities  Project Coordination  Oversee and manage mechanical activities across project sites, ensuring alignment with project schedules and deadlines.  Coordinate mechanical work across projects, ensuring consistent quality and compliance.  Attend and lead on-site project meetings with contractors, consultants, and project teams.  Liaise with authorities such as ADDC, DEWA, FEWA, SEWA, TECOM, Municipality, and Civil Defense for all related works.  Observe and raise RFIs where needed according to site requirements, and reports to Senior Engineer.  Execution and Supervision  Supervise the installation of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems across all assigned sites.  Ensure all mechanical works are executed according to the project drawings, specifications, technical requirements, local regulations and quality standards.  Monitor and inspect site installations regularly across various sites, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.  Address any on-site technical issues across multiple projects to maintain progress.  Act as a construction leader in the execution of all mechanical systems.  Develop action and mitigation plans.  Manage and supervise MEP subcontractor resources and progress to maintain project timeline.  Quality Control  Implement and enforce quality control procedures for mechanical works on all sites.  Review and approve mechanical material submittals, ensuring they meet the requirements for all projects.  Conduct site testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring that all systems across projects are operational and meet design intent.  Supervise mechanical jobs based on shop drawings and specifications, ensuring adherence to contract specifications, approved design drawings, agreed procedures, and method statements.  Ensure all mechanical works adhere to local regulations, codes, and standards.  Documentation and Reporting  Prepare technical submittals and shop drawings for the entire mechanical work based on the consultant’s design and approved vendor list.  Coordinate with the design team in the preparation of shop drawings for mechanical systems.  Develop detailed designs in your area of specialty according to the related design manual, codes, and standards to deliver clear, prompt, and error-free design.  Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on mechanical progress, issues, and resolutions across all projects.  Ensure accurate and consistent documentation of all mechanical installations and modifications across sites.  Prepare as-built drawings related to the project’s executed work (on-site) for future maintenance.  Raise inspection requests for completed work and attend consultant and authority inspections.  Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and assess them against the project schedule.  Resource Management  Ensure the availability of adequate mechanical materials for all projects (materials, machinery, and manpower) according to the project schedule and ensure their timely availability for all projects.  Coordinate/follow with the procurement department to purchase and deliver materials on time.  Provide input to the Quantity Surveyor for interim payment applications.  Implement strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, reduce material wastage, and increase manpower productivity.  Client and Consultant Interaction  Interact with clients and consultants regarding the status of work, negotiating and obtaining approvals for any requested modifications.  Update drawings to fit newly approved modifications for as-built drawings.  Act as a point of contact for all third parties involved in the project. Requirements:  Education: o Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.  Experience: o A minimum of 15 years of experience with expertise in mechanical systems for luxury residential projects. o Extensive experience in site-based mechanical execution, coordination, and supervision across multiple projects with a main contractor.  Skills: o Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications. o Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams across various sites. o Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and compliance. o Knowledge of local building codes and standards.  Personal Attributes: o Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. o Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and industry advancements. o Strong organizational and time management skills. o Capable of handling high-pressure situations and meeting project deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
