Compensation: $130,000 - $250,000

Senior Mechanical Engineer / Lead Mechanical Engineer required to join a rapidly growing robotics company developing next-generation autonomous systems for real-world environments based in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

Own design and integration of multiple mechanical and electromechanical systems through all stages of product maturity

Translate high-level requirements into practical design solutions alongside the founding team

Prototype rapidly and validate concepts through hands-on testing and iteration

Develop CAD models, detailed drawings, and physical prototypes

Lead reviews of designs, procedures, and assemblies, providing engineering feedback and recommendations

Perform mechanical analysis for strength, reliability, and manufacturability

Create and execute test procedures, jigs, and validation fixtures

Conduct root cause analysis for hardware failures in development or deployment

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an engineering discipline

Previous experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Lead Mechanical Engineer

5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis for complex systems

Proven experience with full product lifecycle-from design and prototyping to production

Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools (SolidWorks, Ansys, or equivalent)

Prior experience in startups or high-growth engineering environments

Willing to relocate or based in Austin, TX
