Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, review, coordination, and supervision of all mechanical systems—including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection—for villa and high-rise building projects. The role ensures all systems meet project requirements, client specifications, codes, and standards, and are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Duties
- Lead and manage the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and LPG systems) for villas and high-rise developments.
- Review and approve mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, etc.) and project specifications.
- Perform heat load calculations, static pressure calculations, and equipment sizing using relevant software (e.g., HAP, Ductulator, Elite, etc.).
- Prepare BOQs, technical reports, and mechanical system schematics.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, civil, electrical, and structural teams to ensure smooth integration of MEP services.
- Attend design coordination meetings and resolve technical conflicts.
- Supervise mechanical works on site and ensure adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project deliverables are met.
Quality & Compliance
- Conduct site inspections, testing & commissioning, and snag rectifications.
- Ensure proper documentation of QA/QC processes and compliance with project specifications.
- Implement energy-efficient and sustainable mechanical design solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in villa and high-rise building projects.
- Proven experience in design review and site supervision for MEP services.
- Strong knowledge of international mechanical codes and standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, and MS Office applications.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Membership in a professional body (e.g., ASHRAE, ASME, or equivalent) is an advantage.
