Role Description:

CONIN is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience to join our Dubai-based team. The successful candidate will lead mechanical design, site execution, and project coordination, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with project requirements and international engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering works from design to project completion
• Prepare, review, and approve mechanical drawings, calculations, and technical submissions
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
• Supervise site installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
• Monitor site progress to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules
• Attend project coordination meetings and provide technical support
• Identify and resolve technical issues and propose effective engineering solutions
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage)
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction or MEP projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and mechanical systems
• Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit and other electrical design software; familiarity with BIM 360 and Navisworks is advantageous
• In-depth understanding of UAE building codes, regulations, and authority submission processes
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Professional certification or engineer registration is an advantage
