🚀 We're Hiring | Senior Mechanical Engineer — Valves & Fluid Systems

I Alameda, CA | $130K–$160K base + equity & benefits

Our client is a next-generation space launch provider building launch vehicles and satellite engines that give smallsat operators reliable, affordable access to orbit. The fluid systems team is at the heart of making every launch possible — and they're growing.

They're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who wants to own flight-critical hardware from the first sketch to the test stand. If you've designed real machines, worked with a machine shop, and stood next to your hardware when it fires — this role was built for you.

🔧 What you'll own:

• Design of valves, actuators, and cryogenic plumbing on a next-gen launch vehicle

• Structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis to validate your designs

• Hardware development from prototype through hot-fire qualification

• Root cause investigations and corrective actions when things go wrong

• Engineering documentation to support manufacturing and test

• Mentorship of junior engineers on a lean, fast-moving team

✅ What they're looking for:

• 4+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability industries

• Proven ownership of hardware from concept through test and production

• Strong CAD skills (NX, SolidWorks, Creo) and GD&T fundamentals

• Background in FEA, structural, and thermal analysis

• Deep familiarity with manufacturing: machining, welding, brazing, heat treating

• Someone who is more hands-on than 75% of mechanical engineers — you've built things, debugged things, and fixed things

⭐ Big plusses:

• High-pressure (6,000+ psi) or cryogenic system design (LOX, RP-1)

• Actuators, safe & arm devices, or other complex mechanisms

• Failure investigation leadership and corrective action implementation

• Experience with ASME, NASA, or MIL standards

• Startup or fast-paced environment background
