Senior Mechanical Engineer - Design Consultancy & Supervision

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design review, construction supervision, coordination, and management of mechanical engineering works for a variety of building projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical building services, excellent coordination skills, and extensive experience in engineering consultancy environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering design and construction supervision activities for building projects.
• Prepare, review, and approve mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and testing and commissioning procedures.
• Supervise on-site mechanical works and ensure compliance with approved designs, project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to supervision teams.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Support project planning, risk management, value engineering, and technical decision-making.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
• Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues throughout project execution.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be a Abu Dhabi Municipality Approved Engineer and possess approvals/accreditations from other relevant UAE governing authorities, as applicable.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering consultancy, including mechanical design and construction supervision.
• Proven experience in the design and supervision of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and other building services systems.
• Strong knowledge of international mechanical engineering codes, standards, and best practices.
• Experience reviewing technical submittals, shop drawings, and testing and commissioning documentation.
• Excellent technical, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements and regulations.
