Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Media & Marketing Specialist to lead media relations and outreach efforts for federal public health communication initiatives. The Specialist will coordinate press releases, public service announcements, earned and paid media campaigns, and support event-based communications.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and distribute press releases, media advisories, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate earned and paid media campaigns.
- Support media tours, press events, and other public-facing activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists.
- Draft, edit, and review communication materials for clarity, accuracy, and impact.
- Work closely with project management and technical teams to ensure messaging consistency.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in media relations and marketing communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Demonstrated success in managing media campaigns or large-scale outreach efforts.
- Knowledge of public health issues and experience working with federal agencies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multimedia content development.
- Familiarity with crisis communications and rapid response media engagement.
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements.
