Job Overview

Linvex Solutions is hiring a Senior Mobile App Developer who is a true expert in building polished, performant, cross-platform mobile applications. You will be joining a small, fast-moving team of senior specialists building real, live products for UK and international markets.

This is a high-ownership role. You will be responsible for architecting and owning the entire mobile experience across multiple products simultaneously — covering iOS, Android, and where required, web. The apps you build will be used by real end users in live, regulated markets. They need to be fast, reliable, secure, and visually exceptional without exception.

If you have only built demo apps, cannot work across all platforms at a senior level, or need micromanagement — this is not the role for you.

Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android

Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, smooth, production-ready mobile interfaces

Build and maintain reusable, scalable component libraries for mobile

Integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs cleanly and efficiently

Implement real-time data features including live updates, notifications, and background processing

Integrate hardware and IoT device communication via Bluetooth, WiFi, and custom APIs

Implement secure authentication, data encryption, and GDPR-compliant data handling

Manage app store submissions, versioning, and release pipelines for both iOS and Android

Own mobile performance optimisation — battery, memory, load times, and crash rates

Lead mobile code reviews and enforce quality and performance standards

Collaborate directly with back-end, front-end, and AI/ML team members

Required Skills

Cross-Platform Development

Flutter with Dart — required, expert level

React Native — strongly required

Deep understanding of both iOS and Android platform-specific behaviour, guidelines, and constraints

Experience shipping and maintaining live apps on both the App Store and Google Play Store

UI & Design

Expert ability to work directly from Figma designs

Strong understanding of mobile UI patterns, gestures, and platform-specific design guidelines

Ability to implement smooth animations, transitions, and micro-interactions on mobile

Deep understanding of responsive layouts across multiple device sizes and resolutions

Performance & Quality

Mobile performance optimisation — memory management, battery efficiency, rendering performance

Crash analytics and monitoring (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, or similar)

Offline-first architecture and local data persistence (Hive, SQLite, or similar)

Comprehensive testing — unit, widget, and integration testing

Integrations & Architecture

RESTful and GraphQL API integration — expert level

Firebase — authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics — required

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and WiFi-based device communication

IoT and hardware sensor data integration

Push notifications across both platforms

State management — Bloc, Riverpod, or Provider (Flutter) and Redux or Zustand (React Native)

Clean architecture principles — required

Security & Compliance

JWT and OAuth2.0 authentication on mobile

Secure local storage and data encryption

GDPR-compliant data handling — essential for UK market products

App Store and Google Play compliance and submission experience

Additional Requirements

Minimum 2–5 years of professional, verifiable senior mobile development experience

Proven track record of shipping and maintaining live apps on both platforms

Strong Git discipline, branching strategies, and version control best practices

Experience working in a fast-paced product environment with multiple concurrent projects

Deep familiarity with CI/CD for mobile — Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions

Nice to Haves

Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into mobile applications

Background working with healthcare apps or regulated mobile environments (MHRA, NHS Digital, or similar)

Experience with wearable device integration (Apple Watch, Fitbit, or similar)

Familiarity with TensorFlow Lite or on-device ML model integration

Experience with WebRTC or real-time audio/video on mobile

Contributions to open source mobile projects

Familiarity with Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect
