Your Contribution to Our Growth

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Developer who will play a key role in delivering a new white label mobile application for one of our major banking partners in the UAE. Approximately 60 percent of your time will be dedicated to end to end mobile development across iOS and Android using React Native. You will lead the architecture, implementation, and delivery of a high quality application that supports trading and payments use cases.

The remaining 40 percent of your time will focus on front end and UI development across our internal portals and customer facing products. We are looking for someone who is experienced on the mobile side and also capable of contributing meaningfully with React and TypeScript to support ongoing web and front end initiatives.

This role provides meaningful ownership across both mobile and web interfaces while collaborating closely with product, backend, and design teams across our global offices. Your work will directly shape the user experience of key applications that support Aquanow’s trading and payments infrastructure and will help drive the next phase of our growth in the region.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position working Hybrid out of our Dubai office.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design, development, testing, and launch of high-quality applications across web and mobile platforms (Android, iOS, and browser).
• Own the mobile app architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and best-in-class performance.
• Build and refine responsive UIs using React Native, React 18+, TypeScript, NextJS, and React Router within our Nx monorepo architecture.
• Oversee all aspects of the mobile app lifecycle, including application distribution and monitoring on various app stores.
• Develop and maintain features for internal admin portals and client-facing mobile applications supporting trading and payments workflows.
• Implement secure authentication methods, including biometric logins and mobile security best practices.
• Integrate front-end and mobile applications with GraphQL APIs, real-time data streams, and internal SDKs.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and design teams to deliver seamless and consistent user experiences.
• Conduct performance profiling, debugging, and optimization for high-frequency, data-intensive systems.
• Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and E2E tests using Jest, Playwright, and Storybook.
• Mentor and support other engineers, contributing to code reviews and team-wide technical excellence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across both web and mobile environments.

We’d Love to See

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on frontend and mobile engineering.
• 6+ years building production React applications with TypeScript in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience developing and deploying cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and modern frontend ecosystems.
• Working knowledge of Kotlin and/or Swift is a plus.
• Experience managing mobile apps through App Store and Google Play distribution pipelines.
• Proficiency in state management (Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query) and asynchronous data handling.
• Experience with advanced React patterns: custom hooks, context optimization, performance profiling, and debugging complex state management.
• Exposure to monorepo structures (e.g., Nx) and CI/CD workflows in collaborative engineering environments.
• Familiarity with real-time data, WebSockets, and GraphQL subscriptions.
• A strong eye for design and detail, capable of implementing pixel-perfect UI from Figma prototypes.
• Experience with testing and QA automation frameworks (Jest, Vitest, Playwright, React Testing Library).
• Background in fintech, payments, or trading systems is highly preferred.
• Experience with or interest in digital assets/crypto is a strong asset but not required.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
