Senior Mortgage Loan Processor

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Processor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the mortgage loan process, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations. As a Mortgage Processor, you will work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to facilitate smooth and efficient loan processing from origination to closing.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Collect and analyze financial documents, including income statements, credit reports, and asset documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws.
• Communicate effectively with clients, loan officers, and underwriters throughout the loan process.
• Prepare loan files for underwriting by organizing required documentation.
• Monitor the progress of loans in the pipeline to ensure timely processing and closing.
• Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the processing phase.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage servicing practices and industry regulations.

Skills

• Proficient in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
• Strong understanding of financial services, particularly in mortgage processing and loan origination.
• Knowledge of underwriting principles and credit analysis techniques.
• Solid math skills for accurate calculations related to loans and interest rates.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations to ensure compliance in all transactions.
• Experience in mortgage servicing is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple files simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members
• AI-fluent.
