Senior MS SQL Developer - remote- Contract

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration.
• Strong command over MS SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
• Expertise in T-SQL development and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Experience with data modeling (ER diagrams, normalization, star schema).
• Knowledge of indexing strategies, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or equivalent) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, OLTP, and OLAP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CosmosDB, etc.).
• Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, database versioning, Git).
• Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) or Power BI/Tableau integration.
• Prior experience mentoring or leading a small database team.
