  • Schedule: Full-time, rotating shift (day, evening, night)

Summary:
The Senior Multimedia Journalist is a key member of the Iran International team, responsible for reporting on a broad range of topics including politics, economics, and international affairs. This role involves producing accurate, engaging, and creative content for television, digital platforms, and social media.

The successful candidate will manage the full production process from research and reporting to writing, producing, and presenting news bulletins and programs. Also, they will be responsible for overseeing and supporting Multimedia Journalists.

The incumbent will conduct investigative journalism, uncovering stories of public interest, and deliver timely, in-depth reporting and analysis of current events.

Responsibilities:

● Report to Editors and collaborate with other reporters and team members to ensure the smooth flow of news production

● Deliver accurate, comprehensive, and impactful news coverage across a variety of topics and regions

● Contribute to multimedia reporting on different platforms

● Assist in the production and delivery of podcast program and news bulletins

● Demonstrate creative storytelling skills, technical expertise, and strong organizational abilities

● Provide guidance and support to junior journalists and contribute to their professional development

Requirements

● At least 5 years of experience in international media, with a focus on Iran

● Proficiency in English and Farsi required

● Deep knowledge and interest in Iranian and international news and current affairs

● Strong relationships with key sources, including government officials, experts, and local contacts

● Strong writing skills and the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and accurately

● Passion for uncovering compelling stories and delivering high-quality content

● Proficiency in video editing and script writing

● Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines

● Strong research skills and the ability to gather information from various sources

● Willingness to learn new skills and flexibility to perform in newly assigned roles

● Ability to work cooperatively as part of a large team

● Well-developed communication skills for conducting interviews, building relationships with sources, and collaborating with colleagues

● Adaptability to evolving newsroom practices and technologies

● Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

● Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally

● A keen interest in news and current affairs, particularly in the regions of interest to our audience and an enthusiasm to keep up to date with new developments

● Excellent communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
