Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Nurse who will provide advanced nursing care, supervise junior staff, maintain clinical standards, and ensure excellent patient care across assigned units (NICU, Labour Room, PICU, Ward, or OPD).
The senior nurse plays a crucial leadership role in maintaining NABH standards, training new staff, and ensuring smooth ward operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Care & Patient Management
- Provide high-quality nursing care as per hospital policies and clinical protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, carry out nursing procedures, and coordinate patient care with doctors.
- Handle emergency situations promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in specialized units such as NICU, Labour Room, PICU, Emergency Room, or OT, depending on posting.
2. Supervision & Team Leadership
- Guide, support, and supervise junior nurses and nursing assistants.
- Ensure proper handover/takeover and accurate documentation.
- Assist the nursing superintendent in managing duty rosters and staff allocation.
- Mentor new recruits and ensure adherence to protocols.
3. NABH & Quality Compliance
- Maintain proper documentation, nursing notes, and patient records.
- Follow infection control practices, biomedical waste guidelines, and hospital policies.
- Assist in internal audits, quality rounds, and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with NABH nursing standards.
4. Patient Experience & Communication
- Counsel patients and attendants with empathy and clarity.
- Address minor grievances and escalate issues when required.
- Maintain a professional, courteous environment in the ward.
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with doctors, allied health staff, housekeeping, and pharmacy.
- Report any clinical or operational issues to the Nursing Superintendent.
- Ensure availability of essential supplies, equipment, and emergency drugs.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- 5–12 years of clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary-care, maternity, or pediatric hospital.
- Experience in NICU, Labour Room, PICU, or Emergency is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NABH standards and quality documentation is preferred.
- Valid nursing registration (TSNMC or eligibility to transfer).

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
