Senior Nursery Nurse

We are recruiting for a full time Senior Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner and require an experienced and enthusiastic individual to work and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. We will pay a competitive rate of pay depending on experience.

Responsibilities will include ensuring that provision is of the highest quality through providing a safe, stimulating, caring and child-centered learning environment.

The successful individual will have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• Minimum HNC/SVQ level 3 in a relevant childcare qualification and be able to register with SSSC.
• Have experience of planning, observations and assessments as well as preparing and undertaking learning experiences both indoors and out that support children’s learning and development.
• Have knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence
• Have knowledge of GIRFEC and Building/Realising the Ambition

The Nursery is open Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm, our core hours are 8am - 6pm shifts will vary within these times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £13.65 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Largs KA30 8DG: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Nursery: 1 year (preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
• Management: 1 year (preferred)
