Senior Optical & AI Data Center Solutions Architect/ Engineer – AI-Optimized Fabric Workl

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Optical & Data Center Engineer with Nokia Optical Network Certification (ONC) to support advanced data center networks powering AI workloads. This role will collaborate with teams managing NVIDIA AI infrastructure workloads, designing and deploying high-speed optical transport solutions for on premise data center CLOS Fabric distributed scale out architectures. Helping customers fully realize the value of adopting a decentralized approach to make way for connecting both back-end AI scale-across solutions and front-end DCI/WAN applications, including access, edge, metro, long-haul and subsea.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and optimize optical networks for data center interconnects (DCI) supporting AI and ML workloads.

· Work closely with NVIDIA AI infrastructure teams to ensure high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity.

· Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of optical systems and modules.

· Apply Nokia ONC knowledge to implement best practices in optical network deployment and operations.

· Develop scripts and automation tools for network monitoring and performance tuning.

· Document network designs, operational procedures, and AI-optimized deployment guidelines.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.

· Nokia Optical Network Certification (ONC) or equivalent optical networking expertise.

· Strong experience with data center networking (EVPN/VXLAN, spine-leaf, SR Linux).

· Hands-on experience with optical transport systems (DWDM, coherent optics, optical modules).

· Familiarity with AI workloads, GPU clusters, or NVIDIA AI infrastructure in data center environments.

· Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Ansible, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in AI-driven network optimization or telemetry.

· Exposure to high-performance computing or cloud-scale data centers.

· Knowledge of network security, redundancy, and high availability design.

· Current Cisco CCIE DC or current JNCIE DC

Pay: $100.00 - $110.00 per hour

Work Location: Remote
