Senior Piping Engineer

Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia

Role Summary: The Senior Piping Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, managing, and maintaining all project activities and progress tracking related to mechanical work at AMTPJ and JESCO. They also follow up on progress and assist the Section Head Mechanical/Project Manager to ensure the timely execution of projects by contractors and work teams, as well as organizing and scheduling mechanical design activities and resources.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and follow up on piping and mechanical projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Assist the Section Head Mechanical/Project Manager in the execution of piping projects, including feasibility studies for new or reconstruction projects.
  • Provide coordination to bridge gaps between different departments involved in piping project execution.
  • Support the project team in maintaining effective change management processes, procedures, and systems; supervise contractor activities related to piping through the team.
  • Monitor piping project progress closely to ensure adherence to planned schedules, minimizing delays and costs.
  • Organize and maintain all relevant electronic and paper documentation related to piping projects.
  • Coordinate tasks and logistics for piping team members as directed by the Section Head Mechanical/Project Manager.
  • Review and ensure compliance with piping design standards, codes, and project specifications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and quality control checks to ensure safety, reliability, and project integrity.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools (such as AutoCAD, CAESAR II, PDMS) for design, analysis, and project documentation as required.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project engineering, erection, installation, commissioning, or related roles.
  • Experience in Metallurgy or Chemical industries is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in project engineering, management, site execution, contract management, and handling related drawings, documents, and data management.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, standards, and techniques.
  • Experience with EPC/full-service contracts, program/project management, and project delivery processes.
