Senior Planner, Demand Planning, the Americas

Overview: Oversee permanent product collection sales and stock management across all categories (women’s, men’s and LGs) for Retail America’s. Partner with the Merchandising and Planning teams to provide comprehensive analysis and develop strategies to meet budget targets.


This position will report to the Director of Planning, the Americas.


Responsibilities:

Permanent Assortment Planning

  • Forecast all permanent product categories for the America’s (United States, Canada and Mexico).
  • Generate, prepare, and present OTS/OTB for America’s considering sales history, trend, new store openings as well as budget
  • Create store assortments and model stocks by season and store cluster.
  • Plan/Forecast bottoms-up sales and inventory forecast by style.
  • Provide sales, inventory analysis, and explanations on under or overachieving targets.
  • Generate and present OTS/OTB presentation.
  • Review forecast accuracy monthly, analyze the gap and highlight issues to launch action plan.
  • Work closely with the regional merchandising team to analyze seasonal merchandise assortments and execute merchandising strategies including cannibalization at the category, core/fashion, and sku level
  • Place buys twice each season based on a bottom up sku forecast based on updated monthly re-forecast
  • Proactively work on stock re-orders and cancellations (when applicable), global sur stock opportunities, cross-country replenishment or transfer needs to optimize sales and stock.
  • Recommend actions that drive sales and stabilize inventory levels to meet MOC and AVR targets
  • Review push-pull weekly allocation from Supply & Distribution Manager, monthly sales reforecasts, suggest cancellations/reorder needs
  • Liaise closely with local Operations team and Global Supply Chain team to monitor stock building and shipping progress for timely in store deliveries
  • Plan and supervise stock release for new store openings and special capsules/events
  • Manage and execute weekly replenishment across all doors in partnership with allocator to achieve permanent stock coverage
  • Communicate picking and shipping priorities to the warehouse and trouble shoot any inventory shortage issues.

Reporting

  • Provide both qualitative and quantitative analysis at quarterly and seasonal hindsight’s and investment reviews, drawing insights to affect future product line.
  • Regularly deliver ad hoc actionable analysis from top line to store and category level by partnering closely with stores teams including in-season matric changes
  • Prepare and analyze weekly sales reports identifying gaps and taking appropriate actions to ensure financial goals are met
  • Develop and evolve standardized reports and processes to drive efficiency and advance the team’s productivity.

General

  • Build strong relations with the retail network and regularly review store business plan to ensure it supports forecasted market needs
  • Regularly deliver ad hoc actionable analysis from topline to store and category level
  • Consistently look to improve efficiency in ways of working and tool enhancements. Work with Global teams to implement improvements in processes and strategies.
  • Partner closely with the Global AI team to streamline the Foresight AI tool by sharing valuable insights on actual vs forecast variations to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Attend weekly calls with warehouse and logistics teams to communicate priorities related to permanent stock
  • Monitor data and system integrity and address with appropriate teams’ discrepancies.

Skills and Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 6+ years of experience in a luxury retail or wholesale environment, including time as a Planner, Allocator, Buyer, or as Retail business analyst.
  • Ability to run reports and analyze large amounts of data, very Strong Excel knowledge required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; including presenting sophisticated material in an organized and compelling manner.
  • A strategic problem solver who recognizes opportunities and can recommend strategies by building reason and influence senior leaders to move to execution.
  • Passion for Christian Louboutin and a true ambassador for the brand with strong sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple priorities, work independently, take initiative, and pay close attention to detail
  • Rigor, sense of organization and multi-tasking management
  • Strong Business acumen

In accordance with the New York City Commission on Human Rights and in compliance with the Salary Transparency Law, Christian Louboutin envisions the general compensation range for this position to be $100k - $115k per YEAR. *This range is NOT inclusive of other forms of compensation or benefits such as commissions, overtime, discretionary bonus, health insurance, retirement savings or paid leaves of absence. Such details will be further communicated during the interview process and/or at the time of an official offer of employment.
