Senior Planning Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planning Engineer with a civil engineering background and 5 years of UAE experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring timely delivery of civil infrastructure and construction projects. A valid UAE driving license is required for site visits and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Prepare and update work program and cash flow forecasts in coordination with the project team.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays and risks.
• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to gather real-time progress data.
• Assist in preparing reports such as look-ahead schedules, project dashboards, S-curves, and delay analysis.
• Support tender planning and pre-construction planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and update the project schedule accordingly.
• Communicate project timelines and changes effectively to stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and provide planning insights and reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering .
• Minimum 5 years of relevant planning experience within the UAE construction industry.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction processes and project life cycles.
• Familiar with UAE construction regulations and authority procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in infrastructure, residential, or commercial projects in the UAE.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of delay analysis and claims is a plus.
