Senior Planning Engineer - Civil

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Planning Engineer to lead project planning, scheduling, and progress control activities across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong UAE market experience, advanced Primavera P6 expertise, and a proven ability to oversee project timelines, cost forecasting, and resource planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and update project schedules, baselines, and work programs for multiple projects.
• Prepare detailed project plans using Primavera P6 (mandatory) and coordinate with project managers and site teams for accurate scheduling.
• Conduct critical path analysis, monitor project delays, and prepare recovery programs when necessary.
• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, including S-curves, histograms, manpower charts, productivity analysis, and variance reports.
• Review engineering drawings, material logs, procurement schedules, and subcontractor programs.
• Provide planning input during tender submissions including methodology, resource allocation, and timeline estimation.
• Assist in the preparation and substantiation of EOT (Extension of Time) claims with proper documentation.
• Conduct site visits to verify work progress and alignment with the approved schedule.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for planning and program-related matters.
• Identify risks impacting schedule performance and recommend mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (mandatory).
• 8–12 years of experience, with minimum 5+ years in the UAE in a planning role.
• Strong experience in high-rise building, infrastructure, or large-scale contracting projects.
• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory).
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel (advanced), and scheduling/reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and UAE authority procedures.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
• Experience preparing EOT claims and delay analysis reports.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) – Preferred
• PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional – AACEI) – Advantage
• Primavera P6 Advanced Certification – Preferred
• FIDIC training certification – Added benefit
• UAE Society of Engineers Membership – Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED13,000.00 per month
