Senior Planning Engineer (Industrial)

Job description:

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Expert in project scheduling, planning engineering, and program management
  • Skilled in delay analysis, EOT preparation, and risk management
  • Proficient with Primavera P6 and familiar with Clause 8.3 / 14.1 program requirements
  • Strong communication skills and cross-functional coordination with clients, stakeholders, and site teams
  • Deep understanding of budgeting, procurement, and financial controls on capital projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Core Accountabilities:

  • Monitor contractor programs, identify delays, and escalate risks
  • Prepare, assess, and validate EOT claims, including Time Impact and Window Analysis
  • Support Resident Engineers/PMs in managing risks, delays, and opportunities
  • Drive operational excellence in design delivery, resource planning, and cost control
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on project performance, risks, and corrective actions
  • Coordinate manpower, cash flow, and resource planning across multiple projects

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve Clause 8.3 / 14.1 contractor submissions
  • Conduct monthly delay assessments, risk analysis, and mitigation planning
  • Work closely with contractor planners to track and update baseline programs
  • Advise PMs on delays and help issue delay notices
  • Develop and manage cash- and resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6
  • Lead regular progress meetings and communicate project deliverables to stakeholders
  • Support REs and site teams in resolving site-specific planning challenges
