Senior Plumbing Project Manager

A well-established and expanding commercial plumbing contractor in the Fort Worth, Texas area is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Plumbing Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and operational success of multiple commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for driving project performance, managing field operations, coordinating personnel and resources, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations and company standards.

The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of commercial plumbing systems, and the ability to manage complex projects while maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of commercial plumbing projects, from preconstruction planning through final completion and turnover.
  • Lead and support Superintendents, Foremen, field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones and performance objectives are achieved.
  • Develop workforce plans and labor strategies that align staffing levels with project demands and production goals.
  • Track project schedules, field productivity, and operational performance to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to assess quality standards, safety compliance, workforce effectiveness, and overall project progress.
  • Collaborate with company leadership, clients, and project stakeholders to ensure operational activities support organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the acquisition, allocation, and management of labor, materials, tools, equipment, and project resources.
  • Analyze labor reports, productivity metrics, and operational data to identify efficiencies and improve project outcomes.
  • Assist in managing project budgets by monitoring labor costs, material expenditures, and equipment utilization.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with owners, general contractors, inspectors, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Supervise project administration processes, including RFIs, change orders, field reports, progress documentation, and closeout activities.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement corrective measures to prevent schedule delays and operational disruptions.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, safety policies, OSHA requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Coach and mentor field leadership teams while promoting professional growth, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Contribute to long-term operational initiatives focused on improving efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

QualificationsTechnical & Operational Expertise

  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, construction methodologies, and project operations.
  • Demonstrated success managing commercial plumbing projects, construction operations, or large-scale field teams.
  • Experience coordinating labor resources, workforce planning, project logistics, and operational scheduling.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical project documentation.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project management software.

  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in commercial plumbing operations, project management, construction leadership, or field supervision roles.
  • Prior experience overseeing field crews, subcontractors, and daily construction activities is required.
  • OSHA certification or additional construction-related credentials are considered beneficial.
