Based in processing plant in Shelburne, Vermont, you will collaborate with the Hewitt USA team and our network of supplier partners service providers, and stay fully connected to our global team headquartered in Brisbane, Australia.

Could you be our next Senior Primary Sales Manager, USA?

The Senior Primary Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and business development in the USA market. This role focuses on managing key client relationships, expanding program sales, and ensuring successful trading of both imported and domestic red meat products. The position requires deep industry knowledge, proven leadership, and the ability to navigate the US red meat supply chain to deliver sustained commercial outcomes.

What can you expect day to day?

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify, develop, and maintain strong client relationships with wholesalers, food service distributors, processors, and retail partners.
  • Negotiate and close high-value contracts with a focus on long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to grow market share.

Red Meat Trading and Program Sales

  • Manage both imported and domestic red meat trading, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Oversee program sales with key accounts, driving growth and client satisfaction.
  • Provide expert advice on red meat specifications, grading, origins, and market applications.
  • Monitor and respond to market trends, ensuring competitive positioning.

USA Market Expertise

  • Leverage extensive knowledge of the USA red meat supply chain to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Apply insights into regional consumer preferences and market dynamics to inform sales strategies.
  • Utilise an established network of USA red meat industry contacts to drive new business.

Leadership and Management

  • Lead, mentor, and support a sales team to deliver strong performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Logistics and Operations

  • Oversee inventory management and forecasting to ensure alignment with customer demand.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance, regulatory, and food safety standards.
  • Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to guarantee efficient product flow.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven track record in B2B sales within the red meat industry
  • Strong knowledge of red meat trading (imported & domestic) and market trends
  • Established network within the USA red meat industry
  • Experience managing program sales with wholesalers, distributors, and processors
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive growth
  • Leadership experience with proven ability to mentor and develop a sales team
  • Effective communicator with strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team
  • Familiarity with inventory management, forecasting, and food safety standards
  • Willingness to travel within the USA as required
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
