Senior Procurement Electrical Engineer

Job Description:


- Identify and evaluate suppliers for components and systems based on project requirements.

- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.

-Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

-Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier communications.

-Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and requirements for components.

-Conduct commercial evaluations of supplier proposals and products to ensure compliance with project standards.

- Assess the quality, reliability, and performance of components prior to procurement.

-Provide technical input during the procurement process to ensure alignment with engineering needs.

-Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors in the field.

-Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

- Address supplier-related issues and work collaboratively to resolve any challenges.

- Foster communication between suppliers and internal teams to ensure project alignment.

-Track procurement expenses and monitor budget compliance for components.

- Analyse procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.

- Prepare reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and supplier performance for management review.

- Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting for procurement activities.

-Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and technologies in engineering procurement.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and efficiency.

- Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing procurement strategies and supplier management.


Requirement:


-Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, specifically related to engineering.

-Strong understanding of components, systems, and related specifications.

-Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.

-Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.

-Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

-Relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPPB) are preferred.
