Senior Procurement Engineer – Civil

Location: JVC Dubai, UAE

Industry: Construction / Civil Engineering - High Rise Tower

Salary Range: AED 10,000 – 13,000 (All-inclusive)

Job Purpose

To manage and execute end-to-end procurement activities for civil construction projects, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, subcontractors, and services at optimal cost, quality, and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and control procurement activities for civil works materials and services.

Review BOQs, drawings, and specifications to determine procurement requirements.

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Prepare and issue RFQs, technical and commercial evaluations, and comparison statements.

Finalize purchase orders and contracts in coordination with Project, Contracts, and Finance teams.

Ensure timely delivery of materials in line with project schedules and site requirements.

Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and compliance with quality standards.

Coordinate with site teams to resolve material shortages, substitutions, and technical clarifications.

Maintain procurement records, cost reports, and vendor databases.

Ensure compliance with company policies, project budgets, and contractual obligations.

Support value engineering initiatives and cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

Minimum 7–10 years of experience in procurement for civil construction projects in the UAE mandatory

Strong knowledge of civil materials (concrete, steel, finishing, infrastructure materials, MEP coordination exposure preferred).

Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract finalization, and cost control.

Ability to interpret BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications.

Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel is essential).

Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project requirements.
