Role Overview
The Procurement & Purchasing Engineer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing construction materials and services for industrial and civil projects, with a strong focus on
AC flooring systems, cement, steel, and large-scale industrial materials
.
The role requires close coordination with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, quality compliance, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing

Source and purchase
AC flooring systems, cement, steel, rebar, aggregates, finishing materials, and industrial construction supplies

Prepare and issue LPO,
RFQs, RFIs, and purchase orders

Evaluate supplier quotations technically and commercially
-
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranties
-
Ensure procurement aligns with
project specifications, BOQs, and drawings
Supplier & Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable local and international suppliers
-
Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors
-
Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, pricing)
-
Resolve supply issues, shortages, or delays proactively
Project Coordination

Coordinate with
Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Planning teams
-
Ensure timely material availability according to project schedules
-
Track material submittals, approvals, and deliveries
-
Support cost control and value engineering initiatives
Commercial & Documentation

Maintain accurate procurement records and reports
-
Ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements
-
Support audits and internal controls related to purchasing
-
Coordinate logistics, delivery notes, and invoices with finance
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
-
5–7 years experience
in construction or industrial procurement
-
Strong experience with
AC flooring, cement, steel, and industrial materials
-
Experience in
UAE / GCC construction market
preferred
-
Solid negotiation and supplier management skills
-
Ability to read technical drawings and BOQs
-
Strong communication and organizational skills
