About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape a new product area at Carry—bridging the worlds of investing and tax. As one of our early design hires, you’ll play a key role in defining how complex financial systems become beautifully simple experiences.

You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and leadership to design intuitive workflows across web and mobile. You’ll own core surfaces, influence product strategy, and help build the foundation of our design culture.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, embraces ambiguity, and brings both craft and clarity to the table.

Please note this role is based in our Williamsburg, Brooklyn office with in-person attendance expected Monday through Thursday.

What you’ll do

• Lead design and strategy for a core area of the product, from concept to launch

• Translate complex financial flows into simple, intuitive experiences that inspire confidence

• Use customer insights, prototypes, and data to inform and iterate on design decisions

• Build and scale our design system to ensure quality and consistency

• Balance craft with speed—knowing when to polish and when to move fast

Who you are

• 5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped products

• Experienced shaping product strategy and driving complex initiatives

• Detail-obsessed, especially where clarity and accuracy matter

• Comfortable working in early-stage environments with autonomy and ownership

• Excellent communicator and collaborator—low ego, high impact

• Passionate about fintech, investing, and making money systems work better

• Expert in Figma and familiar with tools like Linear, Retool, and analytics platforms

• Experience at early-stage startups or in fintech is a strong plus

Compensation Range: $135K - $165K
