The Customer Experience Engineering (CxE) organization enables customers to realize the full value of Microsoft’s Information Protection (MIP) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions within the Microsoft Purview family of security services. The Purview Data Security CAT PM drives success by helping customer deploy critical features, design partnership with strategic customer on envisioning new capabilities, supporting field teams and partners in understanding solution value and its alignment with Information protection and Data security practices. The role ensures customers and partners are equipped with best practices and adoption guidance, while channelling meaningful feedback to engineering to shape the product roadmap. Ultimately, this function delivers a seamless and impactful customer and partner experience, positioning MIP/DLP as critical services towards organization data security goals.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us on the mission of making Purview Data security a valuable and preferred solution for our customers. Enabling Microsoft Purview capabilities aligned with customers overall cybersecurity and compliance controls effectively accelerating the adoption of Microsoft Purview. This individual will be a trusted advisor for customers seeking to secure their entire data estates against internal and external data risks and helping customers maximize their investments in Microsoft Purview. To champion customer-centric innovation by delivering seamless, secure, and intuitive experiences for Purview Data security. By deeply understanding customer needs and pain points, this role aims to enhance user adoption, drive satisfaction, and build trust in security data across organization data estate. Lead pre-intent and post-intent customer and engagement teams in the successful onboarding, enablement, and adoption of the Microsoft Purview Data Security capabilities.
Become a subject matter expert on Microsoft Purview data security and compliance capabilities from a technical breadth and depth perspective aligned to Information Protection Classification, Policy authoring for Data loss prevention, Incident triage, Reporting and Agents configuration.
Comfortable and confidently deliver technical and strategic sessions and demonstrations to customer stakeholders ranging from C-Level to architects to analyst level audiences.
Understand customer use cases and how they can be fulfilled by Microsoft Purview Data security.
Be customer obsessed, act as the customer advocate within Microsoft Purview Data security product and engineering teams to ensure customer blockers / issues / feedback and needs are properly addressed to resolution. Drive critical feedback, insights, customer requirements and adoption of Microsoft Purview Data security to improve the solution, drive value to customers and overall solution adoption and consumption.
Champion the voice of the customer, gathering insights to inform product strategy and development. Engage with customers and partners to understand challenges and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Drive customer adoption through targeted enablement, training, and support initiatives.
Build and maintain key relationships with customer stakeholders to drive continued confidence and trust with Microsoft Purview Data security.
7+ years (or equivalent) technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
3+ years (or equivalent) of Microsoft Purview Data Security (Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention / Endpoint DLP, Adaptive Protection and Insider Risk Management) and Advance features like (Document fingerprinting, Exact Data Match (EDM), Trainable classifiers) or similar leading products.
Familiarity with Microsoft Purview DSPM for AI and exposure on DLP incident triage and management processes.
Highly adaptable to change and comfortable pivoting in response to changing circumstances and ambiguous situations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Experience engaging with customers and managing expectations in customer-facing roles.
Experience delivering concise and fact-based communications / presentations both verbal and written and adapting style and level of information based on audience (C-Level, business, architect, analysts, developers).
Experience evaluating and translating customer needs, requirements, and challenges, identifying solutions (positioning, technology, business value, prioritization), and communicating improvement opportunities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The ability to forge strong relationships with customers communicating on behalf of Microsoft Security engineering, facilitating understanding of the value proposition of Microsoft Purview Data Security.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
