We are seeking a Senior Project Analyst to join our team in Plano, TX. This role is responsible for compiling and reconciling detailed operational and financial data, including weights, assays, recoveries, contract terms, and costs to generate accurate final settlement invoices. The analyst ensures that revenues from metal sales are properly calculated, allocated, and reported to customers while tracking actual results against estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Compile operational data (weights, assays, recoveries, shipment details) for each project.
  • Apply contract terms to calculate payable metals, deductions, and shared revenues with customers.
  • Generate accurate settlement invoices and supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile estimated vs. actual results; prepare variance analysis.
  • Track metal sales to buyers and ensure correct allocation in settlements.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts, settlement methodologies, and supporting data.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and commercial teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support management reporting with summaries of settlement outcomes and trends.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for project settlements and contract application.
  • Mentor junior analysts and review their work for accuracy.
  • Lead resolution of complex settlement issues with customers and buyers.
  • Partner with management on forecasting, contract negotiations, and margin optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvement of settlement processes and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related technical field (metallurgy, mining, or industrial process background a plus).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills; high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; comfort with large datasets.
  • Ability to interpret commercial contracts and apply complex terms.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • 5+ years experience with proven expertise in metals accounting/settlements, contract interpretation, and commercial analysis.
