About the Opportunity

A well-established design-build construction firm with a strong track record in Arizona and California is expanding its project delivery team. We are seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to help manage and deliver a diverse portfolio of projects including residential remodels, additions, accessory structures, commercial projects, and new development.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who understands architectural and engineering drawings, is comfortable meeting directly with clients, and can effectively direct project traffic across design, permitting, and pre-construction phases.

This is not an entry-level role. The right candidate is organized, technically fluent in A&E sets, and capable of owning multiple projects while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the design and permitting phases
  • Lead client kickoff meetings and ongoing progress updates
  • Review and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to support coordination and client communication
  • Coordinate tasks across architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, and deadlines from kickoff through approvals
  • Translate jurisdictional comments and consultant feedback into clear action items
  • Proactively identify coordination issues, risks, or delays and escalate as needed
  • Support a smooth transition from design and permitting into construction
  • Maintain accurate project tracking, documentation, and correspondence

Required Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in design-build, architecture, engineering, construction, or project coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand architectural, structural and MEP drawings
  • Experience working with permitting and review processes for residential and/or commercial projects
  • Strong client-facing communication and meeting facilitation skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active projects
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Disqualifiers – Please Do Not Apply If

  • You do not understand architectural or engineering drawings
  • You have not worked on real projects involving permitting or consultant coordination
  • You are uncomfortable communicating directly with clients
  • You require constant oversight to manage tasks or deadlines
  • You are seeking a drafting-only or production-only role

What’s in It for You

  • Competitive compensation range of $85,000–$105,000 DOE
  • Full-time role with long-term growth opportunity
  • W-2 preferred; 1099 may be considered for highly qualified candidates
  • Hybrid or remote flexibility on a case-by-case basis
  • Direct collaboration with in-house architects, engineers, and builders
  • Opportunity to grow into senior project management or leadership roles
  • Exposure to a wide variety of project types and delivery methods
