Project Engineer – Civil Construction
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Engineer (Civil) with a strong background in residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end execution of construction projects, including planning, coordination, execution, billing, quality control, and timely delivery. This role requires hands-on site experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute civil construction works as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project schedules.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to meet timelines and budgets.
- Ensure proper deployment of manpower, machinery, and materials at site.
Site Management
- Supervise day-to-day site activities including RCC works, finishing works, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, and external development.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and architects.
- Ensure adherence to construction methodology, quality standards, and safety norms.
Billing & Cost Control
- Prepare and verify RA bills, final bills, and measurement books (MBs).
- Handle client billing, contractor billing, and reconciliation of quantities as per BOQs and drawings.
- Track material consumption, wastage, and cost variations; support budget control and cost optimization.
Drawings & Documentation
- Interpret and review GFC drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Prepare bar bending schedules (BBS) and coordinate revisions with consultants.
- Maintain proper site documentation including daily progress reports (DPRs), material approvals, inspection reports, and work completion records.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all works comply with relevant IS codes, specifications, and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct quality checks for materials and workmanship.
- Enforce site safety practices and statutory compliance.
Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and internal teams.
- Prepare regular progress updates and reports for management.
- Assist in snag list closure and handover documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:Education
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in civil construction projects.
- Proven experience in residential buildings, commercial complexes, and infrastructure projects.
- Strong exposure to site execution, billing, and contractor management.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D drawings and quantity interpretation).
- Strong knowledge of billing, BOQs, measurements, and rate analysis.
- Good understanding of RCC design concepts, finishing specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Project (or similar planning tools).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
