About the role

You will initially join us for the early works of the Brigalow Power Project, a proposed natural gas power station that will provide firming capacity for peak electricity demand periods and complement variable wind and solar energy.

The project will be built next to CS Energy's Kogen Creek Power Station near Chinchilla in the Western Downs.

This region is critical to Queensland's energy supply system and offers excellent connections into the existing power grid.

Reporting to your Project Manager, you will have the autonomy to lead your team and influence project outcomes by utilising your strong commercial, project management, and technical engineering skills.

• Have the opportunity to create and implement innovative, cost efficient construction methodologies and techniques, produce construction programs, and monitor project milestones and costs to ensure on time completion;
• Be responsible for planning and implementing the procurement of materials and subcontractors, work with supervisors to recognise variations, and produce appropriate variation correspondence;
• Additionally, you'll implement environmental controls when necessary to protect the environment.

About you

Either way, to join our team, you'll need a:

• Degree in Civil Engineering;
• At least 5 years' experience on civil construction projects - DTMR would be highly regarded;
• A proven track record in HSE compliance and safety;
• The ability to lead and work as part of a team;
• Be willing and able to work away from home;
• Possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, coupled with the ability to problem solve and take ownership.
