Senior Project Engineer/ Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly competent Senior Project Engineer with strong Quantity Surveying experience to oversee project execution and manage all engineering, technical, and commercial aspects of the project. The ideal candidate will ensure timely delivery of works in line with project specifications while handling project cost control, variations, and payments with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Engineering Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all engineering activities at the project site.
• Manage day-to-day site operations ensuring progress aligns with project schedule.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents; coordinate with consultants for approvals.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
• Prepare and review material submittals, method statements, RFIs, BOQs, and material logs.
• Liaise with the client, consultant, and stakeholders; attend technical and progress meetings.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions promptly.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Follow up on approvals, inspections, and timely material delivery.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and execution.

Quantity Surveying Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and verify BOQs, quantities, and cost estimates for all project works.
• Manage and evaluate variations, claims, and change orders.
• Prepare interim payment applications, final accounts, and coordination with finance.
• Monitor project costs against budget and report deviations.
• Verify subcontractor invoices, quantities, and payments.
• Maintain complete documentation of cost-related matters for audits and project records.
• Ensure all commercial activities comply with contractual terms.
• Support procurement by identifying project materials, quantities, and cost requirements.
• Conduct site measurements and maintain updated quantity records.
