About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer/Assistant PM to work alongside the Project Managers on complex construction projects from inception to completion. Along with various administrative duties, this position will also manage some project elements independently. The APM will help support the department by identifying clients' project needs/goals, creating a detailed plan to successfully complete a project and monitor project performance until closeout.

Duties

  • Coordinate and prepare submittals and/or samples for client review
  • Interact with clients and interpret their project needs and requirements
  • Perform quality control tasks on budgets and plans while monitoring and reporting on project progress
  • Communicate with the PM and other project participants to maintain project profitability and performance
  • Develop and manage the department’s project schedule
  • Review project contracts and process Change Orders
  • Work directly with vendors to complete and finalize orders
  • Data entry into Sage 100 Contractor
  • Assist with Closeouts by addressing any outstanding items, submitting final documents and obtaining sign off

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management (preferred)
  • Minimum one year experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam and Sage 100 for document control
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Experience with contract administration and project scheduling

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
