The Sr. Estimator prepares subcontractor bid packages and evaluates bid specifications and drawings. The Sr. Estimator works with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids estimating technical expertise required within the scope of the pre-construction services provided by the company.
Specific responsibilities may include:
· Properly turn over bid documents and sub-buyout information to Project Management in a timely manner.
· Review drawings with Project Management team and highlight areas of concern.
· Develops relationships with sub-contractors, and identifies new material suppliers and subcontractors to meet the construction needs of the company.
· Originates and maintains current subcontractor and material supplier solicitation lists.
· Coordinates bids; obtains and analyzes bids on projects from subcontractors and material vendors.
· Prepares and reviews accurate pricing of estimates, including labor, material and subcontract items.
· Obtains adequate number of plans, specifications, and disburses.
· Obtains wage rates, fringe benefits, and working rules.
· Develop creative solutions to problems.
· Identify creative ways to deliver additional profit, if possible.
· Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform API Spec Q1 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
· Other duties as assigned.
1.0 REQUIREMENTS
1.1 EDUCATION AND TRAINING
· Associates degree; or
· 10 years related experience and/or training; or
· Equivalent combination of education and experience.
1.2 EXPERIENCE
· 10 years of professional experience.
· Experience working in an API Spec Q1 environment a plus.
1.3 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Must know Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Project.
· Excellent math, budgeting, purchasing, and organization, and interpersonal skills.
· Must be self-motivated and punctual.
· Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills.
2.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

· Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
· Able to lift 25 lbs.
· Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
· Exposure to production environment.

PAY WILL DEPEND ON EXPERIENCE
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
