Senior Project Manager

Job Description: We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. Candidates will need to have experience in delivering large-scale design projects, offering full understanding of the steps and procedures of developing a project from its early inception phases all the way to delivering on site. Site experience is a major plus as this role may also require overseeing construction projects in the capacity of client representative. Successful candidates must hold a degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years’ experience. Chartered certification or equivalent is preferable.

Core Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage project plans, including scope, goals, budgets, resources, timelines, contracts, consultants appointments, and deliverables. Lead the design development process, from initial concepts through construction documentation and closeout.
• Team Leadership: Manage and guide design teams, providing leadership, support, and feedback. Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Financial Management: Support in developing project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within financial parameters.
• Oversee design works coordination between different disciplines
• Ensure all parties are delivering their respective scopes in a timely and correct manner
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports to update on design and/or construction works progress
• Raise/flag any potential risks, delays, technical issues in order to allow the team to address such risks in a proactive and timely manner
• Advise and act on behalf of clients (developers etc.) on project delivery procedures
• Ensure project documentation is submitted, reviewed and documented correctly
• Support in preparing technical and financial proposals for new projects/opportunities for STE

Qualifications/Background:

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree (BSc/BEng) or Masters degree (MEng/MSc) in Engineering
• Minimum 7 years experience working locally (UAE)
• Design consultant office experience
• Extensive experience in project management, with a significant portion in a senior role and focused on the design phase of projects
• Familiar with relevant International Codes of Practice as well as Local Authorities rules and regulations
• Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 scheduling
• Experience in Autodesk Suite (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM360)

Preferable:

• Construction site experience
• Chartership or professional membership from a qualifying body
• Dubai Municipality registered Engineer
