THE POSITION
As a Senior Project Manager at Canyon State Electric, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex electrical construction projects. You will play a critical role in planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with objectives, scope, and timeline.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedules, resources, and risk management strategies.
- Allocate and manage internal and external resources, ensuring optimal performance and productivity throughout project execution.
- Monitor budgets and expenses, ensuring financial efficiency and identifying opportunities to control costs and manage change orders.
- Identify and assess project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact and ensure project success.
- Foster strong client relationships by maintaining proactive communication, providing regular updates, and managing expectations.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and safety adherence.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry and client standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress reports, financial tracking, change orders, and project status updates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience in the electrical contracting or construction industry.
- Demonstrated success managing complex electrical projects from initiation through completion.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and software. (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar).
- Thorough understanding of industry codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound decision making skills under pressure.
- PMP certification or other relevant project management credentials are a plus.
Salary Pay Rate ranges from: $120,000 to $160,000
