Senior Project Manager

Compass Project Consulting is supporting a confidential developer client in the search for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale mixed use developments in Al Khobar.

The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery and management of projects across all phases from design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, handover, and closeout.

The role will act as the primary point of contact between the client, consultants, contractors, authorities and stakeholders while ensuring successful project delivery aligned with programme, quality, commercial and operational objectives.

This role requires a strong client side or PMC professional with proven experience managing large scale mixed use, hospitality, residential or commercial developments within the GCC, ideally in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery across all phases from inception through to handover and closeout
• Develop and manage overall project execution plans and associated sub plans
• Manage consultants, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Oversee procurement strategies, technical submissions, IFC documentation and construction activities
• Manage authority approvals and stakeholder coordination
• Chair weekly progress meetings and prepare project dashboard reports and updates
• Monitor programme, risks, commercial performance and mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with project quality, HSE and operational standards
• Manage change control processes, client approvals and project reporting
• Oversee inspections, snagging, testing, commissioning and final handover activities
• Coordinate operational readiness and closeout documentation including warranties and asset information
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed timelines, budgets and quality expectations

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 15 years' experience within project management and construction delivery
• PMP certification preferred
• Strong client side, developer or PMC background
• Strong understanding of project delivery, procurement, contracts, authority approvals and construction management
• Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and contractors
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• GCC experience required, Saudi Arabia experience strongly preferred
• Fluent English communication skills required; Arabic is advantageous
• Commercially aware with strong leadership capabilities
• Able to manage fast paced and complex developments
• Strong reporting, coordination and organisational skills
• Proactive and solutions focused approach to project delivery
• Experience working within developer led environments preferred
