Job Summary
The Sr. Manager, Project / Program Management leads a team responsible for a portfolio of medium-to-large scale OEM and large dealer group projects of moderate to high complexity that will have a direct impact on successfully achieving its strategic focus, particularly in the DMS+ and Retail360 spaces. The Sr. Manager, Project / Program Management will work with functional leaders to determine requirements and ensure current and future levels of support are adequate to achieve strategic focus area goals. The Senior Manager will possess the knowledge and ability to apply effective analytical techniques and utilize tools to analyze organizational issues, determine root causes, and create alternative solutions that are in the best interest of the business, working effectively with all stakeholders to ensure a successful outcome.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives across the organization. This role requires a strong balance of project management discipline and business analysis capability, with the ability to operate effectively in both waterfall and agile environments.

The ideal candidate can seamlessly move between defining requirements, structuring delivery plans, and driving execution, while working with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of a portfolio of moderately to highly complex projects and release initiatives.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans, including both engineering and non-engineering activities.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment on priorities, sequencing, and outcomes.
  • Provide leadership with clear, concise visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
  • Develops strategies to resolve key issues.
  • Ensures effective control are in place to monitor the full project lifecycle.
  • Manage cross-departmental resources against aggressive timelines
  • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Drive execution discipline across teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality expectations.
  • Operate effectively in both waterfall and agile delivery models, applying the appropriate methodology based on project needs.
  • Support requirements definition and refinement, including writing and reviewing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination, including remote and distributed teams.
  • Work closely with functional leaders in Product, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to ensure that project selections and sequencing maximize benefit while maintaining strong client sentiment.
  • Ensure dependencies are identified, managed, and communicated
  • Lead stakeholder communication, including executive updates and client-facing interactions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and methodologies to increase delivery predictability and efficiency
  • Build, support, and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Up to 5% travel required.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, program delivery, or related roles
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex software or technology-driven projects
  • Experience working in hybrid delivery environments (waterfall + agile)
  • Strong background in business analysis, requirements definition, and documentation
  • Experience managing cross-functional and distributed teams
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders, risks, and delivery timelines
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project management platforms
  • Proven leadership experience in operational and change management, as well as experience in motivating team members to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in customer expectation and relationship management
  • Team player with excellent work habits and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability in organizing, prioritizing and coordinating cross-functional project teams.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced workload independently and add value to multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, manage, and communicate technical and business team’s needs, concerns, risks, and issues across all departments.
Nice to Have

  • Experience in automotive, EVR, or regulated environments.
  • Experience with API integrations and cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience in businesses based on technology, software, digital marketing/media, and/or internet for the automotive or related industry.
Compensation -

The salary range for this position is: $120,000 - $155,000

The final pay for this position will be determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, location, education, experience, training and skills.
