Senior Project Manager - Interior Design

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Shannon Scott Design is an interior design and interior architecture studio based in Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez, California. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong leadership background and a proven track record in managing luxury private residential and boutique hospitality projects from inception to completion.

Due to the nature of this fast-paced industry, our team members must be adept at adjusting priorities to meet project and business needs. Highly organized with very strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Most work is performed in our Santa Barbara studio, and the Santa Barbara County region, however, some out of area travel will be required.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop, produce, and manage all contract documents and deliverables such as finish and material schedules, matrices, and specifications.

· Provide construction administration: respond to RFI’s, review samples and shop drawings, site visits and verifications, coordinate with architect, contractor, fabricators, and vendors, and complete final punch list.

· Manage project communications and submittals, ensuring on time delivery of all contract documents

· Prepare and review project quotes and purchasing investments.

· Manage multiple design projects, from concept to completion.

· Act as the point of contact for project coordination with clients, architects, contractors, vendors/fabricators, and other consultants.

· Review and submit project documentation, ensuring design intent, technical accuracy, and basic code compliance are met.

· Scope and plan project milestones and timelines to meet deadlines and budgets, ensure timely delivery of all project deliverables.

· Work alongside and in collaboration with the Principal, and other team members.

· Assist Principal with construction material and furnishing sourcing as needed.

· Attend meetings, site visits, and presentations.

· Support the Principal on project installations and photo shoots.

· File and library maintenance.

· Minor studio administration.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· Advanced knowledge of interior design standards, interior architecture and architectural design, and luxury residential construction including design documentation, construction documentation, construction administration, and custom cabinetry and millwork design.

· Advanced knowledge of finishes, materials, standard specifications, applicable building, fire, and safety codes, ADA compliance, design and detailing standards, and construction techniques.

· Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects at various stages of development at the same time.

· 8+ years of education and professional experience within the field of Interior Design and Construction/Architecture working in luxury residential and hospitality design and construction.

· Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus.

· AutoCAD and Photoshop experience a plus.

· Applicant must have substantial construction administration experience (submittals, RFIs, and coordination with architects, contractors, and consultants).

· Strong experience and ability to review interior construction drawings and specifications.

· Collaborative, self-motivated, positive, and flexible, with outstanding written and verbal communication and listening skills.

· Excellent client service skills and well versed in interfacing with clients, consultants, and vendors.

· Extremely professional, reliable, and committed to a strong work ethic.

· Must live in Santa Barbara or Ventura Counties; position will be working full-time in the Santa Barbara studio, with some out of area travel required.

· US citizen, valid Driver’s License, insurance, and reliable vehicle.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
