The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage large-scale real estate development projects from inception to completion within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and commercial acumen to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client expectations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Project Management & Delivery
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of real estate development projects (residential, mixed-use, commercial).
- Manage the full project lifecycle including design, procurement, construction, and handover.
- Ensure project objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies.
- Act as the client's representative, ensuring alignment with client goals and expectations.
- Coordinate and manage consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Review and monitor consultant deliverables and contractor performance.
- Provide strategic advice to clients on project planning, execution, and risk management.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams across all project phases.
- Manage communication between client, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and reporting.
Commercial & Contract Management
- Oversee project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Review and approve variations, claims, and contractor payments.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms (FIDIC or similar).
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely delivery.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Drive problem-solving and decision-making to maintain project progress.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Oversee QA/QC processes and project governance compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Master's degree is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 20 years of total experience in project management.
- At least 5 years' experience working with a Project Management Consultancy / Consultant firm.
- Experience managing large-scale and complex projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Strong understanding of contracts (FIDIC preferred).
- Commercial and financial management expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects.
Preferred Certifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- MRICS or equivalent professional certification
